The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in our Day of Service. Network with fellow Chamber members while we give back to one of our local nonprofit organizations.
Up to 30 DeKalb Chamber members will spend the afternoon volunteering in the Frazer Forest, a 39-acre old growth forest on the Frazer Center campus with a trail system that is open to the public.
Who Should Volunteer: This is an outdoor activity that involves physical tasks. Most tasks are similar to light yard work and gardening, which will include kneeling, pushing and filling wheelbarrows, etc. A few, like sandbagging, may require some heavy lifting. Volunteers should be age 16 or older. All volunteers will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
What to Wear and Bring: Frazer Center staff will facilitate the work groups and will provide tools. It is recommended that volunteers where light weight work clothing that covers and protects arms and legs, and bring work gloves and a water bottle if possible.
