Join Kelvin Phillips of Kelvin Phillips Financial as he presents "Mind Your Business by Building a Financial House".
Mind Your Business
It is not uncommon for Business Owners to be so consumed with the day-to-day responsibilities of operating the Business, including having proper insurance for tangible assets like Equipment and Buildings, that insuring two of their most important assets get neglected—Managerial Experience and Skill. According to Cornell University, 40% of Small Businesses passes to the second generation and 13% passes to the third generation. Finally, only 4% passes to the fourth generation. This is like the Brazilian saying, “Rich Father, Noble Son, Poor Grandson”. In Mind Your Business we talk about solutions that enable your Business to outlive you and one of the solutions is having adequate Operating Capital for the next Generation if you so desire…not everyone does.
Building a Financial House
Building a Financial House is designed to assist you with setting up a system, so you know what products to purchase at each stage of the building process. The process includes laying the Foundation (protection), the Frame (safety and liquidity), and then installing the Roof (accumulation and growth).
Kelvin Phillips Bio's
At the request of a friend, Kelvin reluctantly explored the Financial Services Business in the 1990’s. After speaking with Investment Firms and Life Insurance Companies, he found a match with New York Life. The rigorous 3-year training program at New York Life enabled him to win several company awards and he also earned an Industry Designation, Life Insurance Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), conferred by the American College in 2001. In 2005 he parted ways with New York Life and started Kelvin Phillips Financial and it enabled him to offer a broad range of companies to better serve a diverse clientele.
The LUTCF designation gave him the knowledge to work with Business Owners and Entrepreneurs in various industries and 501(c)3 Non-profit Organizations, but the diverse experience has enabled him to apply the knowledge to the many different challenges that Business Owners face. That led him to facilitate two Workshops, Mind Your Business and Building a Financial House.
Originally from Hogansville Georgia, Kelvin has been married to his wife Patrice, whom he met at the University of Georgia and they have two adult sons, Kelvin II and Corey.Date and Time
