Univision 34 Atlanta is Georgia?s first Spanish-language full-power TV broadcast station. Covering all counties in the Atlanta DMA, Univision 34 Atlanta is active in many community outreach efforts and events throughout the year. Univision 34 Atlanta is part of the Univision Television Group as an owned-and-operated station. It carries popular Univision network programming, with local Newscasts that air weekdays at 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Launched in April 2011, ?Noticias 34 Atlanta? is anchored by Amanda Ramirez at 6pm, at 11pm, it is co-anchored by Ms. Ramirez and veteran news talent, Gianncarlo Cifuentes. ?Nuestra Georgia?, hosted by Mariela Romero, airs Sundays at 6:00 PM on Univision 34 Atlanta and Sundays at 7:00am on UniMás Atlanta. Univision 34 Atlanta has received twenty-one Emmy awards from the Southeast Regional Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in recognition of excellence in television. Univision 34 Atlanta also hosts several signature events annually - the two largest being celebrations of ?Cinco de Mayo? in May and ?Fiestas Patrias? in September.
