To protect, promote, and improve the health and well-being of all DeKalb County residents.
We achieve our mission by:
-Protecting against environmental risks, and preparing and responding to disasters
-Preventing and responding to epidemics and outbreaks of disease
-Promoting healthy behaviors and educating the community about public health
-Providing access to culturally sensitive, evidence-based, innovative, competent, and high-quality care
-Advancing health equity through community engagement and partnerships
-Using data to address healthcare disparities and improve population health outcomes
