The DeKalb Chamber Small Business Committee assists the Chamber with recruiting, educating, and mentoring small businesses. Create and identify opportunities for growth and facilitate partnerships to improve small business programs. Help identify opportunities in the public and private sector.
This committee meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Organizing your management team and the processes they oversee are critical for every phase of your business. Thinking strategically about how your people and processes are going to meet challenges and win in a dynamic economic environment will determine the future success of your business. This lunch and learn will revisit basic management tenants covered in GrowSmart and identify future trends for managing a diverse and challenging business environment.

Under the General Duty Clause of the OSH law, employer and employees have Safety responsibilities they must adhere to. Come learn about the hazards associated with a workplace, and the best methods to control them. You will leave this course being equipped with your knowledge of the key elements for well-functioning health, safety programs, and basic legal requirements for a healthy and safe environment.

This year?s program is tailored to being held virtually to facilitate virtual discussion, class engagement, & mastery of content. Participation in StartSmart will also allow access to online business planning software. The program is facilitated by specially trained SBDC consultants and a long-term relationship with the SBDC and follow-up consulting is available and encouraged.
