DESCRIPTION:The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce to host the Georgia 2030 Tour in the county.\n\n\n\nFacilitated by Georgia Chamber President and CEO\, Chris Clark\, attendees will participate in a live poll designed to help create a roadmap for Georgia's future competitiveness. Following the event\, attendees are encouraged to stay and provide additional feedback in optional issue-based and region specific polls. The event is free\, but registration is required. \n\n \n\nThe Georgia 2030 is an ambitious plan to expand our global commerce\, cultivate our workforce\, bolster economic mobility\, improve job creation and support diverse thriving communities. \n\n \n\n In order for Georgia to remain competitive\, we must grow our economy by 40%\n There will be more than 1.9 million people added to Georgia's population\n There will be more than 1 million new jobs in Georgia\n There will 134\,000 takeoffs and landings at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport\n There will be 1.5 million new cars added to our roads\n Georgians will use 16% more energy\n There will be a need for 18% more secondary degrees and 38% more primary care physicians\n Millennials in the workforce will grow by 20%.
